Meet Heather Hobbs
Owner & Director
I am a certified Dyslexia Coach and licensed Elementary Education teacher with experience in gifted education, remedial instruction, and homeschooling my seven children. I am passionate about equipping families and educators through teaching on topics including literacy development, brain function, educational design, emotional growth, personal development, health and wellness, and biblical studies.
As the founder of By Design Learning Center LLC, I established and directed a preschool, provided tutoring, and developed educational programs that continue to serve families and educators. My work includes teaching STARS-approved professional development courses for early childhood educators, leading homeschool training programs, providing individual and group mentoring, directing Dr. Nedley's Depression and Anxiety Recovery Program, publishing wellness articles in the local newspaper, and organizing community education conferences. I have also been privileged to speak at educational, health, women's, and youth events, encouraging others through practical, research-based, and faith-centered instruction.
